I like listening to movie scores at work sometimes. It's good music to work to and puts me in a good mood when a song comes on that reminds me of a good movie. The Sherlock Holmes score is a god damned masterpiece
Tops my list of overlooked scores in the sense that I rarely hear it mentioned when people discuss best film scores. It's in my top 5, easily

I listen to Hans Zimmer regularly as well. These are probably more often discussed among the best but I frequent The Dark Knight Rises and Inception soundtracks.

He is indeed awesome. I love Sherlock Holmes's and Inception's score too, but my favorite is by far Batman Begins.

Here's what I see as an also-overlooked score - Brian May's Road Warrior/Mad Max 2 soundtrack - Some serious big orchestral music fit for the wasteland.
